Lauren Gordon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) with over two decades of experience working with children, families, and the legal system. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Since 2008, Lauren has specialized in adoption home studies and expanded her services in 2014 to include custody evaluations and counseling. She is licensed to practice in Texas, Indiana, Louisiana, and New Mexico, and is a trusted provider for courts across multiple counties in Texas.
Through North Texas Family Services, Lauren offers adoption evaluations (domestic and international), post adoption assessments, placement evaluations, court-ordered custody evaluations, therapeutic services for children and families, and reproductive evaluations for surrogacy and assisted reproduction arrangements. Her clinical work is grounded in a child-focused, ethical approach that balances compassion with clarity in complex family systems.
Lauren is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the American Professional Society on the Abuse of children, and the National Council for Adoption. She remains committed to ongoing training and professional development, including Brainspotting, trauma-informed care, and high-conflict family dynamics.
